At Craft Atelier, it is not about making sales, but ensuring that every customer has a positive experience, nurturing relationships and serving our local crafting community.
However, we are a small local business and face the daily challenges of ensuring we bring in enough revenue to pay rent, utilities and the other related costs of keeping this studio open. We will try our best to accommodate your needs, but there are some broad policies which we adopt to make this relationship work.
We understand that everyone has days when they are unable to make it to our studio despite prior arrangements.
However, if you cancel without giving enough notice, we are unable to offer the time-slot to another customer. In addition, the time that we spent on preparations could have gone into other projects which are underway in the studio.
Therefore, we uphold a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. Reservations can be amended via phone, email, WhatsApp, Facebook or Instagram message. An acknowledgement must be received for the cancellation to be valid.
Deposits will not be refunded for bookings that are missed or cancelled after the 24-hour cancellation period.
Exceptions do apply for certain workshops and bookings, e.g. masterclasses by overseas instructors.
2: EXCHANGES & RETURNS
We accept exchanges and returns on most new, unopened and unassembled items* within seven days of purchase for a full refund.
The customer is responsible for bringing the item, including all original parts and packing materials, to our studio during working hours. Credit will be issued via original form of payment once the item has been checked and accepted in the studio.
*Exceptions that apply:
Books, dyes, floor looms, products that require extensive assembly, or special order items.
Wooden products that have been finished by the customer or us (on purchase).
Any cut to order products (e.g fabric, Texsolv cords etc.).
3: PRICING & DISCOUNTS
At Craft Atelier, we do our very best to keep our pricing reasonable and accessible to most people.
However, the supplies, tools and equipment used in our studio are largely sourced from overseas suppliers and manufacturers. As a result, we do incur significant costs in shipping and import charges. A portion of this is absorbed by our margins, but we will not be able to offer these items at a prices comparable to retail prices overseas nor match discounts offered by large retail players such as Amazon.
We do firmly believe that crafting is for everyone so please approach us to discuss ways in which we can assist in making the charges and fees more manageable for you.
4: PRIVACY & PERSONAL INFORMATION
Our website is hosted on the Wix.com platform. Wix.com provides us with the online platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Your data may be stored through Wix.com’s data storage, databases and the general Wix.com applications. They store your data on secure servers behind a firewall.
All direct payment gateways offered by Wix.com and used by our studio adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
When you conduct a transaction on our website, your personal information is collection, as part of the process, for the purposes set out in our Data Protection Policy.
