Spinning Textured Yarns

Been spinning yarn for a while and looking to add texture to your yarns? Join Lisa as she brings you on this journey to spinning textured yarns.

In this class, you will learn how to form corespun yarn with different plying methods to make a creative textured yarn for your fibre arts project. Textured yarns are used in knitting, crochet and weaving projects.

Corespun yarns are the foundation of many types of art yarns that have different fibres and materials embedded in the yarn. Add fabric scraps, ribbons and threads to create one-of-a-kind yarns for your projects.

You will be using spinning wheels for this class and should be familiar with how to spin yarn on a spinning wheel prior to this class. Please check out our introductory class to spinning yarn on a drop spindle and spinning yarn on a spinning wheel if you are new to yarn spinning.
