WEAVE-A-SCARF

Always wanted to experience handweaving?

During this workshop, participants will have the opportunity to handweave a scarf using the portable rigid heddle loom. The yarn chosen for this project is a hand-dyed merino super wash yarn, hand-dyed locally by Lois from ParkourKitties (Etsy).

BEGINNER CROCHET AMIGURUMI

This is a beginner class for crochet amigurumi. This class is suitable for both the absolute beginner as well as someone with some crochet experience. The workshop kit comes with 6 patterns and supplies to make at least one of each of the patterns.

TAPESTRY WEAVING ON EASEL WEAVER

Ever wanted to create your own tapestry? Join us for a fun session of weaving on a Schacht Easel Weaver. This fantastic loom is designed to be more than a frame loom. It is also a display frame, with specially designed support that flips out from the back so that you may display your weaving on a surface. 

 

For this workshop, you will go home with the complete Easel Weaver kit, that includes the 6" Easel Weaver frame, stick shuttle, plastic needle, wooden needle, mini beater and shed stick. DYEING CLASS BY PARKOUR KITTIES

In this taster workshop, you will get to learn Colour Theory, types of yarn and the various method of dyeing wool. This hands-on workshop will show you how to develop hues and tones with the primary colours.

For this workshop, you will bring home 200g of dyed yarn (10 mini skeins) and a set of dyes.

Lois is the independent dyer behind Parkour Kitties Fibers. A full-time dyer based in Singapore, Lois’s colourways are mainly inspired by nature and animations.

PAPER PLAY DAY

Spend a day with us learning about rubberstamping and bookbinding! 

 

Create beautiful stamped images using the rubber stamps in the studio. Embellish the images using inks and colouring pencils. Blend inks on the paper for a vibrant background. Use embossing techniques for 3-D effects.

Learn how to make a book from scratch. The Coptic stitching method will allow you to make a book that opens completely flat. Use the finished book for taking notes, sketching or as a scrapbook.

FIBRE PLAY DAY

Learn how to weave on a circular loom and how to crochet an amigurumi. 

You will learn how to prepare a circular loom for weaving. Create OOAK decorative weaving on the circular loom. Be bold in your colour selection and fibre choices! Play with thick and thin yarn and roving combinations!

In the afternoon, learn how to crochet basic stitches and create an amigurumi (soft toy). The crochet kit included in this workshop contains patterns for 6 toys as well as enough supplies to make the 6 toys.
