About this experience
If you are looking to try crochet as a new hobby, join us for a class!
This class is suitable for the complete beginner. For this class, we will go over basic yarn and crochet hook knowledge before proceeding to work on the basic stitches for crochet - chain, single crochet, half-double crochet and double crochet stitch. With these basic stitches, you will be able to follow patterns to complete a range of projects. We will be going over how to read written crochet patterns in this class. If you prefer to work using diagram patterns, we have another class for it that you may wish to consider after attending this introductory class.
The workshop kit comes with a sampling of yarn and patterns as well as a crochet hook. We are able to provide instruction for both right and left-handers.
Crochet may be used to make fabric that is solid and structurally firm and also to make fabric that is lacy and drapes well. The combination of stitching techniques makes crochet a very versatile craft. The range of threads and yarn that may be used for crochet also results in a wide variety of textures and functions. Satisfy your curiosity about this fascinating craft that remains popular over centuries by starting your crochet journey with us!
