Learn how to do Bargello needlepoint techniques. Bring home a beautiful card holder at the end of the class. You can create unique designs following the same techniques after the session.

For this workshop, you will be provided with all the materials and tools necessary to complete the card holder. You will bring home your handcrafted creation as well as the tools so that you can continue to explore this beautiful needlepoint technique.

Bargello is a type of needlepoint embroidery consisting of upright flat stitches laid in a geometrical pattern to create motifs. Traditionally, Bargello was stitched in wool on canvas. Embroidery done this way is remarkable durable. It is well suited for use on pillow, upholstery and even carpets. Traditional designs are very colourful and use many hues of one colour, which produces intricate shading effects. Modern interpretations on plastic canvas have led to beautiful pieces of embroidery made into bags and pouches.
