How Visits Work
Craft Atelier is a working studio, so visits take place through workshop registration or by prior appointment. We do not operate as a walk-in space. Scheduling ahead allows us to prepare the studio, set out the necessary equipment, and make sure one of us is there to host you.
People visit the studio for different reasons. Some come to browse materials or see the studio. Others come to make, learn or seek guidance on ongoing projects. Each mode of visiting has its own rhythm, and we host all visits with the same care, adjusting the pacing to what each visitor needs.
We currently offer three types of appointments:
-
Studio Visit
For browsing and shopping for tools and supplies, order pickup, or casual conversations about us and about the crafts we offer at the studio. Drop-in weaving experiences are included. Studio Visits cover the widest range of intentions and is the best fit for general curiosity, exploration, and first encounters with us and the studio.
-
Workshop Visit
For learning a craft in a structured way, with guided instruction and hands-on practice. Workshops introduce techniques, context, and materials in a format suitable for beginners and continuing learners. Workshop fees apply and are collected upon booking.
-
Consultation
For project-specific guidance or troubleshooting that requires technical or specialised attention. Consultations may include evaluating materials for a planned project, understanding tool requirements, or resolving challenges in an ongoing work. Consultation fees apply and are collected during the visit.
