Workshops by Tiers

People enter craft at different points and continue in different ways. Our workshop tiers reflect these different modes of engagement. You may start anywhere that makes sense for you, and continue only if you wish to.

You may move between series based on interest and readiness. There is no fixed pathway; continuation is optional and may take different forms. If guidance is needed, we are happy to advise.

Studio Samplers

Curiosity & First Encounters

Studio Samplers are for people who are curious about a craft and want to try it for the first time. Depending on the craft, you may complete a small object or simply explore tools and techniques to understand how the craft works. No prior experience is needed.

Foundations

Technique & Structure

Foundations workshops introduce the structure and logic of a craft. Participants learn core techniques, work with proper tools and materials, and begin to understand how the craft behaves. Projects in this tier support technique rather than lead it.

Study Groups

Practice & Community

Study Groups support ongoing practice for learners who wish to continue a craft over time. Participants work on their own pieces, revisit techniques, and learn alongside others. Study Groups are not classes; they are communities of practice.

Next Steps

Deepening & Projects

Next Steps workshops extend the craft into more advanced techniques, refinements, and project-based work. Participants are assumed to have foundational knowledge of the craft, either through prior workshops or through their own practice.
